The Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) was established on May 23, 2002 by Act No. 14 of 2002 vide Extraordinary Gazette notification of Government of Himachal Pradesh. JUIT Waknaghat provides a challenging academic environment to its students. This University is approved by the University Grants Commission under section 2(f) of the UGC Act. The aim of JUIT is to instill the habit of life-long learning and therefore, offeres a learner-centric rather than a teacher-centric educational process.
