Mahatma Gandhi Dental College & Hospital Pondicherry

Pondicherry Dental College and Hospital was launched in the year 1990. It was rechristened as Mahatma Gandhi Dental College and Hospital by the then Lt. Governor, Her characteristic late Dr. (Tmt.) Rajendra Kumari Bajpai in the year 1995. It was called and advanced to Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences on 08.09.2005. It is proposed to develop the Institute on par with other leading Medical Institutes in the country like AIIMS (New Delhi), PGI (Chandigarh), SGPGI (Lucknow).

The Institution is an independent body fully invested and owned by the Government of Puducherry. The Institute is allotted by a constituted Board of Governors guided by the Chief Secretary to the Government of Puducherry as its Chairman. Within a short period, the Institution has accomplished the peak, with due recognition at National and International level.
