Introduction
Media Lab Asia has been encouraged by Department of Information technology, MCIT, Govt. of India as a not for benefit company. The aim of the company was set to bring the gains of ICT to the common man. Media Lab Asia (MLAsia) has been found by section of Information Technology, MCIT, Government of India as not-for-profit Research and Development system under section 25 of Companies Act. After finish up of the first phase, Government of India has sanctioned a entire range programs for ML Asia. However it was later replaced to application areas such as ICT for Healthcare, Education, Livelihood and Empowerment of Disabled.
