The new Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission was established as follows from 1st November 1956, under Section 118(3) of the States Reorganization Act. The study of the Constitutional provisions has enshrined in Article 320 of the Constitution of India. The Annual Reports of the former Madhya Bharat Commission for the years 1954-55 and 1955-56 were duly introduced to the Rajpramukh by that Commission but they were not produced and put up before the legislature as required under the Constitution.
