The National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) is one of the premier permanent research Institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), an autonomous body under the aegis of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Objectives of NIN is to dovetail nutrition research with other health programs of the government & to develop a band of young scientists, teachers in medical schools and health workers, well trained in nutrition.
