It was establish through guiding institutions to offer an advanced, fully automated screen-based trading system with domestic reach. On its recognition as a stock exchange below the Securities Contracts Act, 1956 in the year of April 1993, its commenced operations in the Wholesale Debt Market section in the year of June 1994.
