NIT Rourkela
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela was founded in 1961, once recalled as Regional Engineering College Rourkela. It was founded as a joint project of the Government of India and the Government of Orissa. Being to its effort for providing quality education in the area of Engineering, Science and Technology, NIT Rourkela was granted the status of Deemed University and renamed as National Institute of Technology Rourkela in 2002. National Institute of Technology offers BTech and MTech courses in different streams of science, engineering and technology. NIT Rourkela also offers Masters in Computer Application (MCA) program.
