Introduction
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal is a democratic name in the area of technical education in India. It commenced off in the year 1959 as the Regional Engineering College, Warangal (RECW), commenced by first Prime Minister of India Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru. The institute was initially related to Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University. Later in 1976, the college got its affiliation from Kakatiya University. Finally in 2002, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal was granted the status of Deemed University and was renamed as NIT Warangal.
