NLU Jodhpur Conference
National Law University, also recognized as NLU, is settled in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It is one of the purest examples of law schools in India. It came into existence with the communicating of National Law University, Jodhpur Act in 1999, (Act No. 22 of 1999) ordained by the Rajasthan State Legislature. The institute commenced functioning from July 1, 2001, with an objective of assembling the development require of the legal profession in the international context. The single law University of the nation, converging legal knowledge with other disciplines like management, finance, economics and science. NLU Jodhpur by its Centre for Distance Education extends a wide range of praogrmmes at the postgraduate level. In addition, the law University has an unique Internship and Placement Bureau, which extends excellent quality training and job placement insome of the renowned organizations.
The Journal of Private International Law will hold its third major conference at New York University on April 17-18, 2009. As was the exercise at the prior conferences at the University of Aberdeen in 2005 and at the University of Birmingham in 2007, they are including a “call for papers” to be presented at the conference with a view to having the final papers presented for considerateness for publication in the Journal. Thus, in increase to a number of previously-invited speakers, a limited number of paper-presenters will be chose on the basis of abstracts of 500 words submitted to Professor Linda Silberman at New York University (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Professor Paul Beaumont at the University of Aberdeen (email@example.com) by October 31, 2008. The abstracts will be regarded by Professor Silberman and the editors of the Journal, Professor Paul Beaumont and Professor Jonathan Harris, and a decision built by 1 December, 2008.
