Introduction
PFC was establish in July 1986 as a Financial Institution (FI) devoted to Power Sector financing and committed to the integrated development of the power and linked sectors. The Corporation was advised as a Public Financial Institution in 1990 under Companies Act, 1956. The Corporation was registered as a Non Banking Financial Company by RBI and has been consulted with the position of Nav-Ratna PSU by Govt. of India on 22nd June, 2007.
Organization
The Corporation is campaign by a Board of Directors which is the highest judgment making body. It brings through a hierarchy of whole time executives and employees. The number of employees presently employed in managerial capacity including whole time Chairman and Managing Director and Directors stand at 192, while those in non-managerial capability stand at 122, total being 314002E.
PFC is supplying large range of financial productions and Services like Project Term Loan, Lease Financing, Direct Discounting of Bills, Short Term Loan, and Consultancy Services etc. for several Power plans in Generation, Transmission, and Distribution sector as well as for Renovation & Modernization of existing power plans.
