Satyabhama University was founded in 1988 as Satyabhama Engineering College and it was called as Satyabhama Institute of Science and Technology. The institute is famous for its student placements and discipline. Satyabhama University is a deemed university. The university is settled at a place called Sholinganallur. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council have accredited Satyabhama University with a B++ grade. The university is an ISO 9001:2008 certified.
