Since the business industry is getting more and more data oriented, highly-specified statisticians have much scope. So after bachelor’s degree in statistics students can become business analysts, research officers, data analysts, investigators, lecturers and so on.Tests are being directed about every year at, The Union Public Service Commission to recruit officers to Indian Statistical Services. Postgraduates in statistics, mathematical statistics are qualified to appear for this examination.

The Staff Selection Commission recruits statistical investigators under Subordinate Statistical Services across the nation. The private sector also requires statistical manpower in marketing, insurance, information technology and software fields.
