SLET West Bengal

The West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) (State Agency) conducts a State Level Eligibility Test for Lectureship in Universities and Colleges of West Bengal. The design of the WBCSC State Level Eligibility Test is standardized to that of UGC-CSIR NET Questions are set in English only and candidates have the option to answer in English or in Bengali except for languages. Candidates have to appear for SLET in the Subject or their Post Graduation only. The WBCSC State Level Eligibility Test will consist of 3 papers. All the SLET 3 papers will be held on one day in 2 separate sessions as under.

Eligibility for SLET:

Candidates must have Master’s Degree in the relevant Subject with at least 55% Marks (50% Marks in respect of SC/ST/PH/VH Candidates) or an equivalent grade preceded by at least a Second Class 3 Year Honours from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University. There is no upper age limit for appearing at the SET.

The SLET 2011 will be held on June 2011 declared by committee of SLET after the meeting on Feb 2011.
