Sports Authority of India (SAI) is a body set up by the Government of India. It was created in 1984 to help encourage sport throughout the country. Shortly, it has seven territorial centres at Bangalore, Gandhi agar, Kolkata, Sonepat, Delhi, Mumbai and Imphal and two sub-centres at Guwahati and Abramabad.
