Introduction
University of Jammu, appointed as ‘A’ grade University by National cost & accreditation Council of India came into being in 1969 vide Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 adopting big of the former University of Jammu and Kashmir. University of Jammu-Board of Distance Education, Jammu better known as Jammu University has been appointed with Four Star University by international judgment & certification Council (NAAC) of India. It came into being in 1969 through Kashmir and Jammu schools Act 1969 after the structure of University of Jammu and Kashmir
Prompted by the desire to allow for education at the sills of the apprentices, University of Jammu based the board of Distance Education, (then known as association of Correspondence Education) in March, 1976. The DDE is offering a number of postgraduate and college boy courses.
