The real and responsive power flow in a contagion line can be at once assured by a pair of back-to-back power electronic converters, called a Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC). The optimal PI controller based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is obtained for a wide range of operating conditions of the system as well as for a variety of disturbances. This paper presents a novel optimum PI accountant for UPFC to enhance the dynamic performance of UPFC as well as for synchronous generator stabilization.
The operating constraints of the UPFC are substantially practical restraints during the operation of the UPFC in a real power system. The control strategy is based on dq-axis theory. comp computer simulations are carried out to assert the aimed control strategy
