Vinoba Bhave University (VBU), Jharkhand, came into existence on the 17th of September, 1992. It came down Jharkhand after the beginning of the state on November 15, 2000. Its main office is at Hazaribag, a town of sylvan surrounding and tranquility amid verdant forests. It is exercises authority over all the Sanskrit, Homeopathic and Ayurvedic colleges of Jharkhand too. Its jurisdiction extends to a big part of North Chotanagpur, including Bokaro, Dhanbad, Ramgarh, Chatra, Giridih, Koderma and Hazaribag districts, comprising a large number of constituent and joined graduate and post graduate colleges, technical and vocational institutes.
