Zoological Survey of India ZSI

Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) was based on 1 July 1916 to encourage the survey, consideration and research of the fauna in the region. The Survey had its generation in the institution of the Zoological Section of the Indian Museum at Calcutta in 1875.

Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), a subordinate organization of the Ministry of Environment and Forests was demonstrated in 1916 as a national centre for faunistic survey and consideration of the cleverness’s leading to the progress of psychological feature on the exceptionally rich faunal variety of the country.
