According to a college head, conforming to UGC guidelines on faculty appointment is a "near impossibility." But then, there is no room for complacency either. Beyond 2011-12, candidates without NET will not be considered as approved lecturers. The UGC norm must be implemented in all importance to ensure quality in higher education. According to the Recent Regulation by UGC, those who wants to get appointment in a Govt/Aided College have qualified UGC-NET or SLET ( by UGC), or PhD in concerned subject. Then they will get Rs.500 per hour and a Maximum of Rs.25,000/- as Salary. In the absence of qualified candidate, Candidate without UGC-NET or SLET ( by UGC), or PhD will be considered. They get Rs.300/hour and a maximum of 15,000/- per month as salary. |
