I am telling you the best tips for preparation of Special Class Railway Apprentices' (SCRA) Examination.

SCRA Examination Preparation Tips

Make a time table for your preparation

Start preparing at least one month before so that you can prepare each subject properly.

Time Management skills are to be focused

Focus on understanding the concepts and not mugging up.

Read newspaper day & listen news updates daily to improve your general knowledge

Practice will make you solve questions much earlier

For English section, follow the basic grammar book and develop command over vocabulary by reading stories and newspapers on a daily basis

Go through the CBSE recommended NCERT textbooks for better perception and understanding of the topics.

Improve your calculation and speed

Solve mock tests

SCRA Examination pattern-

Part I is written examination carrying a maximum of 600 marks.

Part II is personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks in respect of only those candidates who are declared qualified on the results of written examination.

Paper Subject Duration Marks
Paper I General Ability Test 2 Hours 200
Paper II Physical Sciences (Physics & Chemistry) 2 Hours 200
Paper III Mathematics 2 Hours 200
Total 600

The papers in all the subjects consists of objective multiple-type questions.

There is negative marking also.

The question papers are set in English only.
