Indian Institute of Technology,Bombay (IITB) was established in 1958 as a second-oldest institute of the Indian Institutes of Technology system with assistance from UNESCO and with funds contributed by the Soviet Union.

As you asking I am telling eGURU programme is based on the traditional Indian concept of Guru-Shishya. It is designed to provide e-guidance and mentorship to needy students of B.E., M.C.A. and M.Sc. (CS/ IT/ Electronics) programmes, in carrying out their final year projects and encouraging them to think of innovative technical solutions to various real life problems. eGURU is an Open Source initiative providing e-guidance and online mentorship to students of B.E., M.C.A. and M.Sc. (CS/ IT/ Electronics) programmes, for their final year projects.
