Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (Karnataka PGCET 2017) is the state level entrance test conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Key dates Commencement of Online Application Form 19th May 2017 Last date to apply online 5th June 2017 (Extended) Last date to pay the fees in specified bank 6th June 2017 (banking hours) Admission ticket downloading from 26th June 2017 Examination Date 1st July 2017 (ME/M.Tech/M.Arch) & 2nd July 2017 (MCA/MBA) Answer key release 13th July 2017 Result Announcement 21st August 2017 Document verification starts from 23rd August 2017 Option entry starts 5th September 2017 2nd counselling starts 23rd September 2017 Eligibility For admission to M.Tech programme, minimum 50% aggregate marks are required in B.E./B.Tech (45% in case of SC/ST and Category-I candidates). Same marks criteria is required in the qualifying examination for admission to MBA programme. Exam Pattern For M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch Courses: Question paper will consist of Part-1 and Part-2. Part-1 contains 50 questions and part-2 contains 25 questions. Each question of part-1 will be of 1 mark and each question of part-2 carries 2 marks. Question paper of M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch is of total 100 marks. For MBA Course: Examination conducted for MBA course will consist of 100 marks. Candidates have to answer the questions in the time period of 150 minutes. The type of question paper is objective type containing four different options. Each question carries one mark. |
