Anna University follow CGPA in 10 point scale. To convert 10 into 100(i.e. percentage), just multiply that another 10!

If your CGPA is 8.5 in 10 point scale, then your marks in percentage is 85%.

The general algorithm used to convert the CGPA into percentage irrespective of the Scale is-

Percentage of marks = (actual CGPA acquired/full point CGPA)*100%

e.g. marks% = (8.5/10)*100 = 85%

The Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of all courses enrolled from first semester onwards.

GPA for a semester is the ratio of the sum of the products of the number of credits
for courses acquired and the corresponding points to the sum of the number of
credits for the courses acquired in the semester.

GPA = Sum of [Credits acquired x Grade points]

CGPA will be calculated in a similar manner, considering all the courses registered from
first semester. “U”, “I” and “W” grades will be excluded for calculating GPA and CGPA.
