I have done B.Tech and want to join in Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) for M.Tech so can you tell me how to join the Institute?

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology IIST invites application for Admission to M.Tech program.

Each M.Tech programme at IIST offers 6 seats.

Candidates have valid GATE scores relevant to the M.Tech programme for which admission is sought will be shortlisted for an interview/written test

The interview/written test will be held tentatively in June 2017.

Based on the performance of candidates of candidates in the interview/written test, course-specific and category-wise merit lists will be published for admission.

IIST M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

BE/B.Tech/M.Sc/M.S. or equivalent degree with minimum aggregate marks of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 out of 10

A valid GATE score in the respective disciplines for which admission is sought

Final year candidates can also apply under provisional basis and have to prove their eligibility by October 31, 2017.

The upper age limit is 28 years as on May 8, 2017. Candidates belonging to SC / ST / Persons with disability (PWD) category will be eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India Orders.

Only Indian citizens can apply

IIST M.Tech Selection Procedure

Short listing of candidates for allotment of seats will be based on valid GATE scores.

Candidates who are short listed have to take a written test/Interview.

Based on the performance of the candidates in the written test/interview a merit list would be drawn

Seats will be based on the merit list.
