I want to do B.Tech from VIT University. My father said me to do B.Tech from Government University. So tell me is the VIT University Government or Private? Also tell me about B.Tech Course.

The VIT University was founded in 1984.

The University is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC).

The University offers several Under Graduate and Post Graduate and Research Programs.

It was established as a self-financing institution called the Vellore Engineering College.

The Union Ministry of Human Resources Development conferred University status on Vellore Engineering College in 2001.

NAAC has re-accredited VIT with an 'A' grade.

VIT University has been accredited by TCS, Wipro and Cognizant for academic collaboration and placements.

Admissions in B.Tech Course will be done through VITEEE Entrance Exam conducted by the University.
