The Centre of Excellence in Nanoelectronics (CEN) at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay was established in the year 2006. CEN is a collaborative project between IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore. It is funded by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT), Government of India. CEN offers multidisciplinary research program involving faculty from various departments. Structure & Operations The Nanoelectronics centres are advised by a committee of experts. This advisory committee also reviews the operations of the facility at regular intervals. The advisory committee has the following responsibilities: Meet twice a year. Set major policy guidelines and future directions. Review annual reports including financial statements. Advises on critical technology developments and needs in various sectors. Advises on networking and leveraging available expertise and technologies.
