Punjab Medical Entrance Test (PMET) exam is now replaced by National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET exam. Admissions to MBBS and BDS programmes in government, private and deemed universities across Punjab state will be done on the basis of NEET 2017 scores. Thus, admissions to approximately 800 MBBS seats in 8 Medical and 1200 BDS seats in 11 dental colleges of Punjab will be on the basis of NEET 2017 scores. Punjab MBBS admission 2017 will be the basis for admissions to 85% state quota seats. Further, admissions to 15% All India Quota seats will be done by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Punjab MBBS Eligibility Criteria Candidates belonging to unreserved category must have obtained not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC/10+2 examination, whereas candidates belonging to reserved category and person with disability (PWD) have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in 10+2 examination Persons with disability (PWD) in General category have to obtain a minimum of 45% marks in the 10+2examination The applicant must be born on or before December 31, 1999 Candidates must be medically fit and have to submit a certificate of medical fitness Candidates must be a domicile of Punjab Punjab MBBS BDS Cut off 2017 Categories Qualifying marks Unreserved (UR) 50 percentile Reserved and Persons with disability (PWD) 40 percentile PWD candidates in unreserved category 45 percentile |
