Jammu University for Jammu University Entrance test (JUET) for admission to undergraduate courses, post graduate courses and post graduate diploma courses of the University of Jammu, Main Campus/Offsite Campuses and other Affiliated College. Important Dates (Tentative) 2017 Jammu University Entrance Test 2017 notification will be released on April 2017 Sale of information booklet and online application form starts from May 2017 Closing date for the submission of online applications May 2017 Closing date for the submission of online applications with late fee May 2017 Closing Date for receipt of Fee at the designated Counters of the J&K Banks May 2017 Downloading of JUET Admit Card 2017 on the University Website begins from June 2017 Date of entrance test June 2017 Answer key for JUET 2017 will published on June 2017 Result will be announced on June 2017 Eligibility Criteria for JUET 2017 • For Masters Degree (excluding M. Phil and Ph. D), Bachelor Degree (LLB), B. Lib. I. Sc, and B. P. Ed: One should have done graduation with science, commerce, Arts or Business administration • One should have done 2 years of degree course by following the 10+1+3 or 10+2+2 pattern. Moreover, they should have done one year of duration bridge course consisting Part III of B. Sc/ B.Com/ BA • One must have completed three years of professional degree course obtaining minimum of 40% of marks (36% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category) • One who do not belong to territorial of the Jammu University but scored at least 60% of marks BA/ B. Sc/ B.Com/BBA/ BCA can also apply. Examination Pattern There will be two question papers for JUET, one for PG and the other for UG Courses. The test will comprise of 150 Objective Type Questions for 150 marks. Each correct answer will be rewarded with one mark and the duration for the entrance exam will be 2½ hours i.e. 150 minutes. The exam will contain questions from following sections: • General English – 40 questions • Reasoning – 40 questions • General Knowledge – 40 questions • Numerical Ability – 30 questions There will be also negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer given by candidate. The candidates, who obtain less than 30% marks (for general category) and 25% (for SC/ST category) will not be considered eligible for admission. The following weightage will be given to the applicants: • Academic Merit – 75% • Entrance Test – 25% |
