Can you tell me in detail about the eligibility requirement to apply for Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) Examination as I want to check if I am eligible?

Rajasthan Public Service Commissions (RPSC) conducts Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Exam for Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) and Rajasthan Taxation Service (RTS).


Eligibility for RAS Exam


Educational Qualification

One should have graduation degree from a government recognized college or university or its equivalent.

One in the final year of the graduation can also apply but should enrol in the final year before the last date of filling of RAS Application form and must graduate before the RAS Mains Exam.

There is no requirement of minimum percentage in the graduation exam.


Age Limit

The minimum age is 21 Year for all categories.
The maximum age limit for the general category is 40 Years on first January of that year.
The non-gazetted officer must have completed 25 years of age but do not exceed 45 years on first January of that year.

Widow and Divorced (Women) No Age Limit

OBC/BC PWD 13 Years
SC/ST PWD 15 Years


Other Eligibility

One should be a Citizen of India.

One from other states can give this Exam. But one from SC/SC/OBC or any reserved category form other state would be considered as the General Candidate.

The age relaxation is non-cumulative in nature means one can take advantage of age relaxation in only one category. One cant combine two categories like SC/ST & PWD both.

If the exam notification is not released previous years, the Govt may give the relaxation in maximum age limit.
