Madras Fertilizers Limited is a Public Sector Undertaking organization in India under managerial control of the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. Madras Fertilizers Limited (MFL) was fused in December 1966 as a Joint Venture amongst GOI and AMOCO India Incorporation of USA (AMOCO) with GOI holding 51% of the value share capital.[2] The Company is occupied with the produce of smelling salts, urea and complex composts at Manali, Chennai. The Company is the main Public Sector Undertaking in the Fertilizer business to get the ISO 9002 confirmation. Amid 1997, MFL had gone for Public Issue of 2, 86, 30,000 shares with face estimation of ₹10 and a premium of ₹ 5 for every share. Of these, 2, 58, 09,700 shares were subscribed.
