| Vishal Kotkar | Re: cds upsc exam form CDSE (Combined Defence Services Examination) is a written exam conducted twice every year by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). It is meant to select officers for Army, Navy and Air Force. Men and women both can apply for CDSE. While men can apply for Army (IMA and OTA) Navy (INA) and Air Force (AFA), women can only apply for Army (OTA). CDS 2 2017 Dates • Start of submission of forms: 09.08.2017 • Last Date for submission: 08.09.2017 • Date of Exam: 19.11.2017 Educational Qualifications: • For Indian Military Academy and Officers’ Training Academy -> Degree of a recognised University or equivalent. • For Indian Naval Academy -> Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution. • For Air Force Academy -> Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering. Age Limit • CDS 2 2017 Exam Age Limit For IMA: Male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 1994 and not later than 1st July 1999 only are eligible. • CDS 2 2017 Exam Age Limit For OTA: Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd July, 1993 and not later than 1st July, 1999 only are eligible. Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July 1993 and not later than 1st July 1999 • CDS 2 2017 Exam Age Limit For AFA: 20 to 24 Years as on 1st July, 2018 i.e. born not earlier than 02 July 1994 and not later than 01 July 1998 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 Yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 02 July 1992 and not later than 01 July 1998) only are eligible. Candidate below 25 years of age must be unmarried. Marriage is not permitted during training. Married candidates above 25 years of age are eligible to apply but during training period they will neither be provided married housing nor can they live out with family. • CDS 2 2017 Exam Age Limit For NA: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 1994 and not later than 1st July 1999 only are eligible. |
