Course Title – Childhood and Growing UP Course Code – B.ED - 01
Session – 2016-17 Maximum Marks - 30
Note: Attempt any three out of the following questions. All questions carry equal marks.

Answer each question in about 600 words.
1. Explain the term childhood in the light of socialization and SES of the children living in an urban slum. In a similar context explain how is it like to grow up as a girl child?
2. Define formal, non-formal and informal education with suitable examples.
3. What is the importance of studying children’s lived realities? Also, give some methods of studying the same.
4. Describe and list some of the ‘Child rights in India.’ Point out provisions which protect the rights of underprivileged children of the country.
5. Write short notes in any two of the following:
a) Rabindranath Tagore
b) Malala Yusufzai
c) Role of NGOs in child protection in India.
d) Some legal provisions and policies of child protection in India
