Examine a variety of theories, models and strategies used to understand motivation and individual behavior, decision making, the dynamics of groups, work teams, communication, leadership, power and politics, conflict resolution, work design, organizational structure and culture, and managing change. Receive a conceptual base for interpreting, assessing, and influencing human behavior in an organization.

HRM 500-Human Resource Management Foundations

Examine the theoretical foundation of the human resource management field and the evolution of human resource management, labor and law, including human capital. Analyze trends and issues influencing the development and application of these elements within contemporary organizations. Explore the effects of regulation on businesses.

HRM 510-Business Employment Law

Analyze the foundation of employment law and how it impacts the employer-employee relationship. Topics covered include the selection, development and termination of employees; maintaining policies that support diversity; and employee pay and benefit packages. Develop an appreciation for the legal process and how organizations can manage risk.

HRM 517-Managing Human Resource Projects

Define and analyze management techniques for planning ,estimating and facilitating human resource projects. HRM 599-Human Resource Management Capstone
