The Department has the following specialization Human Genetics, Entomology, Toxicology, Aquaculture, Crustacean Biology, Conservation Biology and Proteomics and Molecular Cell Physiology. The Department offers M.Sc., Animal Science, M.Sc., Animal Biotechnology, M.Tech Molecular Biology and Human Genetics and M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs in Zoology. They also offer extension services, which include Human Genetic and Cytogenetic studies, Genetic Counselling, Vector Biology and Forecasting, Environmental Toxicology and Impact Assessment, Live Feed Culture, Prawn Culture, Conservation Education and Proteomic techniques.
