He has finished a Post Doc from University of UTAH, USA in Engineering and Ph.D (Electronics and Communication Engineering) from Sambalpur University in the year 1993. He has finished M. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and MSc (Physics with Electronics) from REC Rourkela, now NIT Rourkela. He is a beneficiary of Boyscast association, SERC partnership, INSA cooperation, Distinguish workforce grant, University of UTAH, USA partnership, Lifetime accomplishment honor and numerous such honors and acknowledgments. He is a senior individual from IEEE, Life individual of IEEE, Life individual from ISTE. Prof. Pattnaik being a recognized employee of Electronics and Communication Engineering has delivered 16 nos of PhD and 55 nos. MTech postulation in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He is broadly and globally known scientist in the range of Antenna and Soft Computing, which is upheld by his telling quality 272 nos of production. He is likewise related in different national and worldwide boards of trustees and he is known for his statesmanship. He has joined the college as Vice Chancellor on thirteenth March 2015 for a residency of 5 years. Before joining as Vice Chancellor he was acting as a Professor and Head of the Department in the National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR) Chandigarh.
