As you Asking for the Information About the Indian Administrative Service (Ias) And Allied Services Examinations Prelims And Main Conducted by the Institute for Inspiration & Self Development the Information About the Examination is given below

IISD is providing a 10 month preparatory course. Enrollment is based on selection through Group Discussion & PI.

About the Examination

The exam has three stages i.e. — Prelim (CSAT) exam normally conducted during May / June.
Main Exam conducted during October/ November.
Those who gets selected in Main Exam will be eligible to appear at the Interview Broad at New Delhi.

PRELIM EXAM / CSAT

It consists of two papers. The questions are MCQ type. This is a screening test. Those who succeed only are eligible to appear at the Main Exam.

MAIN EXAM

Candidates who have qualified in the Prelim Exam in a year are eligible for the Main Exam of that year only. Result of Prelim Exam for one year cannot be carried forward for the next or subsequent year(s).
The Main Exam consists the following papers i.e. -General Studies (two papers each carrying 300 marks)
One Essay (200 marks)
General English (300 marks)
One Indian Language (300 marks)
Two optional subjects (two papers each carrying 300 marks).
It may be noted that general English and Indian Language papers are designed to test the ability of the candidate´s proficiency in these two subjects but these are not considered for ranking. But one must clear these otherwise his / her other papers will not be evaluated.

Admission Details :

Eligibility
A Citizen of India for IAS and IPS.
For other services, a candidate must be either:
A citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/ Bhutan.

A Tibetan refugee or who came over to India before 1st January, 1962

AGE LIMIT
21-30 for general category relaxable by 3 years for OBCs and by 5 years for SC/ST.



EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
A degree of any University recognized as such.


NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS
4 attempts for open, 7 for OBC and no limit for SC and ST.
