| vikash | Re: ies exam pattern pdf The Union Public Services Commission is conduct IES Prelims on January 7. Indian Engineering Services is conducted by UPSC each year. Through this examination, candidates can serve for Government of India as engineers in Railway, Military, Central Engineering Service (CES), and other streams. Key facts about IES Exam Pattern: IES Exam is conducted in 3 Stages namely Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Personality Test. The medium of examination is offline i.e. it is a written examination. Questions in Prelims exam are objective in nature. Questions in Mains will have questions of conventional type. The medium of examination is English. In IES, there will be a deduction of one-third of the mark allotted for each question for every wrong answer attempted. Examination Pattern: IES exam is conducted in three stages- Preliminary, Mains and Personality Test. The IES Preliminary Exam was conducted on 7th January 2018 and IES Mains Exam will be conducted on 1st July 2018. Stage I- Preliminary: It consists of two objective type questions papers of 200 marks and 300 marks. Paper 1 includes Objective Type General Studies and Engineering Aptitude and Paper 2 includes Engineering Discipline. There will be negative marking and 0.33 of the marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. Subject Duration Maximum Marks Paper-I (General Studies and Engineering Aptitude) 2 hrs. 200 Paper-II (Engineering Subject) 3 hrs. 300 Stage II–Mains: It will consist of two conventional type papers of Engineering Discipline of 300 marks each. Subject Duration Maximum Marks Paper-I ( Engineering Subject ) 3 hrs. 300 Paper-II (Engineering Subject) 3 hrs. 300 Stage III- Personality Test: It includes a personal interview with 200 Marks. IES Important Dates: Release of Notification 27 September 2017 Start Date of Online Applications 27 September 2017 Closure of Online Application Process 23 October 2017 Preliminary Examination 7 January 2018 Mains Examination 1 July 2018 Personality Test First Week of November 2018 |
