Re: IIT JEE Previous Year Question Papers With Solutions

Here I am providing IIT JEE Previous Year Question Papers With Solutions for your preparation.

Q.Choose the correct reason(s) for the stability of the lyophobic colloidal particles
(A) Preferential adsorption of ions on their surface from the solution
(B) Preferential adsorptionof solvent on their surface from the solution
(C) Attraction between different particles having opposite charges on their surface
(D) Potential difference between the fixed layer and the diffused layer of opposite charges around the colloidal particles
Ans. (A, D)

Q.29.2% (w/w) HCl stock solution has a density of 1.25g mL1. The molecular weight of HCl is 36.5g mol1.
The volume (mL) os stock solution required to prepare a 200 mL solution of 0.4 M HCl is
Ans. (8)
Sol. 29.2% (w/w) of HCl solution means
29.2 g of HCl = 100 g of solution
100
125
g mL of solution (given d  1.25g / mL )
Now 200 mL of 0.4 M HCl is to be prepared
means = 0.08 mol
= 2.92 g of HCl
= 8 mL of given solution
