The last date to apply for the IIT M.Tech admission is April 21 this is closed for admission. Candidates are required to appear and qualify in GATE in order to apply for M.Tech Admissions at IIT Kharagpur. The institute offers joint M.Tech-Ph.D instead of M.Tech only. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must Passing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ An architecture / M.Sc or equivalent professional degree (AMIE etc.) is mandatory. Candidates are required to score at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale (55% or CGPA of 6 for SC/ST/PD candidates) in their qualifying degree. Candidates must have a valid GATE score. B.Tech graduates from any IIT with a CGPA/CPI of 8.00 and above need not appear for GATE. Selection Procedure: Candidates will be given seats on the basis of their scores in GATE. Some courses will require them to appear for an interview which will have 30% weightage for selection.
