| Vishal Kotkar | Re: sec ximb The Student Executive Council (SEC) is the apex students body at XIMB. It oversees the functioning of the various committees presides over all student and acts as a liaison between the student body and the administrative authorities of the college. The body is lead by the General Secretary and consists of the Treasurer, Cultural Secretary, HRM Secretary, RM Secretary,SM Secretary, Coordinators of the core, functional and interest committees, mess and hostel secretaries, the class representatives and the cultural representatives from BM, HRM, RM, SM and UMG. Student Committees Core Committees Student Placement Committee Alumni Committee IlluminatiX (Media and PR) International Relations Committee Core committees are the committees which are funded by the college administration. Though most of the activities are conducted by the students, it operates under the directives of the college administration and the faculty co-ordinator. Membership: Core committees have only shadow members. Students are selected to the shadow team after conducting interviews for all the applicants. Restrictions on members: Core committee shadow members cannot become shadow members of functional committees. Functional Committees RMAX (Rural Managers Association of XIMB) CONSTRAT (Consulting and Strategy Consortium of XIMB) XIMAHR (XIM Association of HR Managers) XFIN (Finance Association of XIMB) MAXIM (Marketing Association of XIM) XSYS (Systems Association of XIM) X-OPS (Operations Association of XIMB) Functional committees are in the name of each of the streams of specializations available. It is completely funded by the student council and guided by a faculty coordinator. Membership: General Member: Any student can become a general member of any number of functional committees by paying a nominal membership fees. Shadow Member: Students are selected to the shadow team after conducting interviews for all the applicants. Only general members of a functional committee can apply for its shadow membership. Interest Committees Sports Committee SPICMACAY, XIMB Chapter Speakup XStage SRC (Social Responsibility Cell of XIMB) LitSoc (Literary Society of XIMB) X-SEED (The Idea and Initiative Cell of XIMB) XQuizzite (Quizzing Committee) XLens Exemplar Interest committees are completely student driven without any faculty intervention. The committees are either funded by the student council or run autonomously. Membership: Any student can be a part of any number of interest committees. However the concept of general membership and shadow membership is not uniform for all the interest committees. There are three types of membership: 1. General Membership : Open to all the students across BM, RM, HRM and SM. 2. Shadow Membership : Open ONLY to General Members of that committee. 3. Core Membership : Open ONLY to Shadow Members of that committee.
