| prince karak | Re: mode of exam of viteee VIT University conducts VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) for admission to over 5000 undergraduate engineering seats across its four campuses – VIT Chennai, VIT Vellore, VIT Andhra Pradesh and VIT Bhopal. Exam Pattern of VITEEE 2017 Mode Online or Computer Based Test Duration 2 hours 30 minutes (Slot wise exam) Sections Physics Chemistry Mathematics/Biology English section Number of Questions Each section will carry 40 questions, except in English section English section will have only 5 questions Types of Questions Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) For each question, there will be four options, among which candidates has to choose only one correct option. In English section, three questions will be asked from reading comprehension and two will be regarding grammar and punctuation. Marking Scheme For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded. There is no negative marking. VITEEE 2017 Marking Scheme Section Number of Questions Marks for each section Physics 40 40 Chemistry 40 40 Mathematics/Biology 40 40 English 5 5 Total 125 125 VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2017 Age Criteria: One born on or after July 1, 1995 can apply for VITEEE 2017. Qualifying marks: One should have obtained an aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying exam (+2/Intermediate). Qualifying marks: For one belonging to SC/ST categories and North Eastern State, the average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50%. Education type criteria: Only one, who has studied in regular, full time and formal education are eligible to apply. 'NIOS' candidates can also apply for VITEEE2017. |
