The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a standardised management test conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) for admission to MBA, Master of Accountancy, and Master of Finance and other 5,900 programmes of more than 2000 business schools worldwide.

GMAT is a computer adaptive test (CAT) intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English

GMAT Eligibility

There are no specific eligibility criteria for GMAT Test.

However, it is necessary to be a graduate from a recognised university to appear for GMAT similar to any post graduate management entrance.

GMAT Exam Pattern

GMAT consists of four sections.


They are: Quantitative, Integrated Reasoning and Verbal and Analytical Writing Assessment.

The total duration of the exam is a three and half hours. Total score range is 200–800.

Section 1: Analytical Writing Assessment

Analysis of Argument

Section 2: Integrated Reasoning

Multi-Source Reasoning
Graphics Interpretation
Two-Part Analysis
Table Analysis

Section 3: Quantitative Abilities

Data Sufficiency
Problem Solving

Section 4: Verbal

Reading Comprehension
Critical Reasoning
Sentence Correction

GMAT Fees

The application fee for GMAT 2018 is $250, which would roughly translate to Rs 15,000-16,000 approximately.

Also, if the applicants want to change the center or reschedule the test then they will be charged $50 extra.
