Re: afmc leave policy

There is provision for AFMS officers to undergo Study Leave to other PG institutes for various sub & super specialties. In addition faculty is posted to other teaching hospitals of the AFMS under other Central and State universities.

In addition courses in Basic Medical Sciences, Basic Life support, Advance Cardiac Life Support, Microteaching are also carried out for training and career advancement. There is also a provision for study leave for super and sub specialization.

The AFMC has a laid down policy for study leave in area of specialization.

The AFMC doctors specialize in the respective fields and are called on to staff positions in the College based on TGC rules framed by the O/o DGAFMS.

Faculty is also entitled to two years of study leave for acquiring additional professional qualifications in India and abroad. Selection for award of study is based on merit alone and largely based on exceptional performance

Faculty members can attend professional conferences abroad. They can also proceed on study leave abroad.
