The Ph.D. Entrance Test Rules as declared by JNVU (Jai Narain Vyas University) are as followS:

Rules 01:
These rules will be known as Jai Narain Vyas University M.Phil & Ph.D. Entrance Test Rules, hereinafter will be mentioned as JNVU-MPET Rules, which will be applicable in conducting M.Phil & Ph.D. Entrance test and for conducting pre-Ph.D. course work.

Rules 02:
One for admission to the degree of M. Phil/Ph. D. must have passed the Master or any other equivalent exam in the respective subject or in a related subject, in this or any other University or Institution recognized as equivalent thereto. One who has obtained First or Second class at the exam for Master degree as specified above is eligible for appearing in JNVU-MPET

Rules 03:
Application for appearing in JNVU-MPET is invited once in an Academic Year against vacant seats in different subjects. Ordinarily the vacancies as on 15th June of every academic year for admission in M.Phil/Ph.D. Programme will be notified by the University.

Rules 04:
(a) There will be one paper in the Entrance exam comprising of 100 multiple choice questions on the subject concerned.
(b) The minimum pass percentage of marks is 50. A relaxation of 5% in the minimum percentage of marks is applicable to one belonging to the categories of SC/ST/ physically challenged & visually impaired as per rules.
