Aligarh Muslim University Holiday Calendar will be applicable to the students of AMU as well as the colleges affiliated to it. There has been a controversy on the reduction of holidays announced by the Aligarh Muslim University. It is clarified that the Government of India has authorized only 17 holidays with an addition of 3 restricted holidays. The holiday for Holi has been reduced from two to one. In addition, the birthday of Hazrat Ali will also be observed as a holiday while the holiday for Eidul Adha will be reduced from three to two.
