Set up in the year 1968, it is the second college to be set up in Kerala. Extention Centers The University has set up expansion focuses in Thrissur, Calicut and Vatakara. The inside in Thrissur is named after the prestigious financial specialist Dr. John Mathai. Situated here are the Department of Economics and the School of Drama and Fine Arts. The Calicut Center offers courses in Health Sciences and Costume and Fashion Designing. The University Students' Center too is situated in Calicut. To encourage better access to understudies, the University has set up Teacher Education Centers and Information Centers in all the five locale under its ward.
