For M.Sc (Chemistry B.Sc degree in Chemistry with Physics and Mathematics as subjects of study is the qualification required. This qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 60% marks. SC/ST candidates need to have a minimum of 45% marks only. For M.Sc (Mathematics) B.Sc degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 60% marks is basic qualification required. SC/ST candidates need to have a minimum of 45% marks only. For M.Sc (Applied Geology) Science graduates in Geology/Geological Sciences with Physics/Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects are eligible to apply. The required qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 55% marks. In case of SC/ST candidates, the minimum percentage of marks required is 40. For M.Sc (Electronic Science) B.Sc degree in Physics/Electronics is the basic qualification required. This qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 60% marks. SC/ST candidates need to have a minimum of 45% marks only. For M.Sc (Biotechnology) Candidates with B.Sc degree in any of the subjects can apply for M.Sc (Biotechnology) in Jadavpur University. B.Sc degree must be obtained with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/ST candidates—40% marks). Such candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks in mathematics at HSC level. For M.Sc (Biotechnology) Candidates having completed B.Sc degree in any of the following subjects with a minimum of 50% marks can apply. Chemistry Electronics Instrumentation Physics Eligible candidate should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at 12th class. SC/ST candidates need to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in degree.
