Yale Sample MBA Essay Essay 1: The Yale School of Management educates individuals who will have deep and lasting impact on the organizations they lead. Describe how you have positively influenced an organization- as an employee, a member, or an outside constituent. (500 words) The best MBA admission essays here will focus on one example of sustained influence, not several of slightly less impact. Choose an organization that has meant a lot to you, either as an employer or in your personal life. Preferably, choose an organization in which you have had a leadership role, officially or unofficially. Tips for applying to Yale's MBA Program- Write clear, concise essays which clearly answer the question asked, paying attention to word limits. The school is trying to show that it is not just a ‘non-profit’ school, that has strong finance and marketing programs as well. If completed BA after less that 16 full years of education (i.e. did the BA in three years), it is recommended though not required to complete the 16 years by doing an additional Masters degree. More open to people from non-traditional backgrounds. Seem to be trying to increase international orientation of school.
