The main thrust area of DUCR 90.4 MHz is to broadcast student centric community based programmes. They are very careful about the proper proportion of education, information and entertainment in the broadcasting programme. Training at DUCR DUCR is providing internship to the students of the University of Delhi and giving opportunities to use the available resources to the fullest. Very soon it will start providing training to the students of the University. The internship timeline is as follows: Timeline: Internship Module Unit 1 Overview of Radio Broadcasting History of Radio Broadcasting Modes of Broadcasting- MW, SW, FM, Internet Radio Types of Broadcasting: Public Service, Private, Community Radio Understanding a Radio Station Module Unit 2 Understanding Community Radio History of Community Radio Features and functions of CR Legal Aspects Technical Aspects Components of CRS and its spatial relationship Studio Premises Reliability and Maintenance Programme policies Case Studies of Successful CRS Code of Conduct Module Unit 3 Programming and Broadcasting Script Writing Recording of Programme Editing and Packaging of Programme Using Softwares- Audacity, Sound forge, Cool-Edit etc. Presenting a Programme. Interview and talk with phone-in unit, Group discussion OB coverage Recording Live coverage Making a Radio Documentary Understanding Duties and Ethics Module Unit 4 Managing a Radio Station Working as In-charge of Radio Station, Coordinating various activities of station, up-keep of station as per maintenance schedule Managing Administrative Works File and Archive Management Enriching DUCR library with programmes and Music Communicating with authority.
