The Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test is the state level entrance test conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The examination is commenced for granting admission to full-time and part-time postgraduate courses offered by government/private aided/private un-aided educational institutions situated in the limits of Karnataka. The examination is held one time in a year. Visit an official site of Karnataka Examinations Authority and select form for PGCET: Offered Courses: First year Full-Time MBA First year Part-Time MBA MCA M.E./M.Tech M.Arch Part-Time M.Tech Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) Second Year MCA programme Exam Dates Commencement of Online Application Form 19th May 2017 Last date to apply online 5th June 2017 (Extended) Last date to pay the fees in specified bank 6th June 2017 (banking hours) Admission ticket downloading from 26th June 2017 Examination Date 1st July 2017 (ME/M.Tech/M.Arch) & 2nd July 2017 (MCA/MBA) Answer key release 13th July 2017 Result Announcement 21st August 2017 Document verification starts from 23rd August 2017 Option entry starts 5th September 2017 2nd counselling starts 23rd September 2017 Application Fee: The registration fee is Rs. 800/- (Rs. 400/- in case of Sc/ST) per test. Exam Pattern: Duration: The exam duration will be two hours. Type of Questions: Objective type questions will be asked in the exam. Marking Scheme: One mark will be given for each correct answer Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in this exam. Exam Mode: It will be conducted only via online mode, i.e. Computer based test. Sessions: The examination will be held in two sessions, i.e. in the afternoon and evening session.
